ኦርቶዶክሳዊ መዝሙራት — Orthodox Mezmurs
Welcome to ኦርቶዶክሳዊ መዝሙራት ("Orthodox Mezmurs", "the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy. The App is designed to provide a collection of Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo hymns (mezmurs) and does not require you to create an account or provide personal information.
2.1 Information You Provide
The App does not require registration, login, or any personal information to use. You do not need to provide your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information.
If you choose to use these optional features, the App sends what you enter to our server:
Both are sent together with the App's anonymous installation identifier (see 2.3), which lets us group duplicates and limit abuse. Please do not include personal information in these texts.
Editors only: volunteers who edit songs in the App sign in with their Google account. We receive the account's email address solely to check that it is on our list of editors. Regular users never sign in.

This data stays on your device. The only exception is the anonymous installation identifier, which is sent with a contribution or error report (see 2.1). It is a random code and is not linked to your identity.

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share any user information with third parties. The App does not contain advertising. The App does not use analytics or tracking services.

All communication between the App and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard HTTPS/TLS protocols. Since we do not collect personal data, the risk of a data breach affecting your personal information is minimal. Locally stored preferences are kept in your device's standard secure storage.
The App is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). The App does not ask any user for personal data, so no special provisions are required.
Since we do not collect personal data, there is generally no personal data to access, modify, or delete. However:
To delete the contributions and error reports you sent from ኦርቶዶክሳዊ መዝሙራት (Orthodox Mezmurs):
Within 30 days we delete every pending contribution and error report sent with that installation ID, and remove the ID from any that were already reviewed. Songs that editors already added to the public song collection stay in the collection, as they are hymn texts rather than personal data. Editors who want their access removed can ask at the same address; we keep no editor data beyond the access list. Data kept only on your device (favorites, settings) is deleted by clearing the App's data or uninstalling it.
The App may request microphone permission due to audio playback libraries used within the App. The App does not record audio or access the microphone for any purpose. This permission is required by underlying audio frameworks and is not actively used.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
